Manhattan Youth Ballet
Manhattan Youth Ballet (MYB) is an entity that calls MMAC "home". Formerly known as Studio Maestro, MYB is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Founded in 1995 by Rose Caiola, it has become New York's premiere classical ballet academy and performance company. Adhering to a curriculum based upon European methods and pedagogy, it is a place of innovation and opportunity for its dancers.

Studio Maestro and Manhattan Youth Ballet are the culmination of Ms. Caiola's efforts for the past thirteen years to create a viable and curriculum-based ballet academy in the United States. Based on the French School of classical technique and modeled after the great schools of Europe, this pre-professional program is the only one of its kind. Former students of Studio Maestro now dance with American Ballet Theatre,  New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Washington Ballet, Netherland Dance Theatre, Ballet de Espana, and Complexion.

MYB actively participates in a variety of Outreach programs aimed at introducing the Arts to inner-city school children. These programs include such items as performances, lecture demonstrations, and interactive events as part of the agenda.

MYB is seeking to expand its Outreach programming. However, this requires impressive funding, so if you are interested in making a tax deductible contribution to MYB, please call (212) 787 - 1178 and ask to speak to the Manhattan Youth Ballet Program Manager.
