Justin Boccitto

JUSTIN BOCCITTO is a faculty member, teaching theatre dance and tap, at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre School.  He is also on the guest faculty at Broadway Dance Center and The Juilliard School.  Justin has worked professionally for such theatres and companies as: The Metropolitan Opera, Willow Cabin Theatre, Papermill Playhouse, The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), The New Jersey Tap Ensemble and many more. As a dancer and teacher he trained under Michael Blevins, Nicole Fosse, Bettye Morrow, Albert Stephenson and went on to create the Off-Broadway group Generation Tap, featured in Dance Spirit and Dancer Magazine.  As Executive Producer of The Group Theatre Too, Justin has produced the New York revivals of Seesaw, David Rimmer’s Album, Count To Ten at the NYMF and the annual Choreographer’s Canvas. Class Description

Justin's Theatre Dance class focuses on all styles of dance in the musical theatre genre. Class begins with a 30 to 45 minute warm-up including isolations, cardio exercises, floor stretch, abdominal exercises and more. After warm-up and "across the floor", students will learn combinations in the styles of many Broadway choreographers all to the soundtracks of musicals from the '20s to today. Previous Jazz training is recommended for all participants.
