Jehan

International bellydance star, master teacher and choreographer Jehan Kamal travels the world teaching and performing from the temples of the East to the concert halls of the West. Myth, magic and fantasy permeate her work.

In 1990 Jehan founded a contemporary school of sacred bellydance teaching traditional form and creating innovative theatrical techniques. From 2001to 2004 Jehan created and directed her dance company in an Off-Broadway dance show, Goddessdance, the holy grail of bellydance; a journey to the heart of the Divine Feminine in us all. Jehan is of Iraqi and German heritage and dreamed of becoming a bellydancer since childhood. She is a protege of the late Ibrahim Farrah and studied with many teachers in the U.S. and in the Middle East. Jehan has produced instructional, fitness and performance DVDs and numerous CDs of traditional and fusion music.
