The new Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (MMAC) is a comprehensive facility for dance instruction and performance located on Manhattan's Upper West Side near Lincoln Center.
MMAC's combined 18,000 square feet of column-free studios and its state-of-the-art, 160-seat theater serve as a creative hub for adult open classes in all dance disciplines, as well as fitness; a children's program of dance, movement and rhythm, fitness, music, art and marshal arts for ages 6 weeks to 16 years; and dance workshops and performances, which most recently included the New York Musical Theater Festival dance series.
MMAC is the home of the Manhattan Youth Ballet (formerly Studio Maestro), a not-for-profit pre-professional ballet school and company, which was founded in 1995 by Rose Caiola.
